About this artwork
This is a memory of canoeing alone at midnight when the lake was still and all was peaceful. The moonlight reflections danced upon the water and everything was right in the world. A magical moment that stays with me to this day.

« The designer in me loves bold shape, color and outline. While the artist in me is searching to connect with the life force of my subject. »
Darlene Kulig, an award-winning Canadian painter, has exhibited nationally as well as in Slovakia. Her works have been featured in Ottawa Life Magazine and Toronto Home Magazine. Kulig’s colorful landscapes translate her love of Canada. In her compositions, she utilizes stylization or synthesis as concepts that originate from Japanese art, blending with her own interpretation and style. She creates using acrylics on canvas.
