"Raw Sunset"
Slightly textured acrylic pink, purple, violet with flecks of gold, bronze, orange, white and blue in an abstraction of the glorious sunsets near the artist's home. The sunsets light the sky with the most gorgeous tints of pink and orange.
Darlene is always inspired by her surroundings, natural settings and especially the incredible Lake Huron.
Lake Huron is known for its wonderfully amazing vibrant sunsets and fills the sky along… the shoreline.
Darlene has used her hands, palette knife and a brush to add the many layers to this large non-objective abstract. She is in love with the sunsets here along with all that nature has to show in every changing season. There is a feeling of serenity and peace when you stop to take the time to watch the sunset for the day and realize it is a new beginning the next morning.

Darlene Watson is an experienced Canadian painter who has exhibited her work nationally. Working within Abstract Expressionism, she allows her imagination to run free in order to intuitively create paintings full of colour, movement and soul. She draws on nature to guide her towards expressive strokes and dripping paints.
