« I am an artist who believes that the visual image in whatever form that I try to create must be made for and appreciated by the public to become art. »
Darryl Cera is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. With a body of work that spans over fifty years, the central tenet of his artistic practice is spontaneity. For Cera, one must nurture an image of who they are as a person first, and as an artist second. He believes that in order to feel at ease in one's creative practice, the juxtaposition and unification of both images is imperative.
