Having gleaned from the streets the 'crushed can' from the onslaught of vehicle traffic.. while riding his bike ...Intrigued by the can's new design and configurations, colors' juxtaposition, he started replicating/painting these in 2016-17...This is his first piece in the series..

Darryl Cera is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. With a body of work that spans over fifty years, the central tenet of his artistic practice is spontaneity. For Cera, one must nurture an image of who they are as a person first, and as an artist second. He believes that in order to feel at ease in one's creative practice, the juxtaposition and unification of both images is imperative.
