About this artwork
"Accept the poison. Let it run through your veins and make it part of your being. At that moment, it can never harm you again."
In this work, I've explored the duality of strength and vulnerability through the powerful image of a scorpion. Using enamel, I've captured the intensity and passion, balancing the figurative with the semi-abstract. The stark contrast between the stark black and vibrant red not only adds drama but also invokes a sense… of urgency and movement. This piece is a reflection of the constant struggle between defense and attack, showing how even within fragility exists an indomitable strength.

- Works on commission
I am David Aranda (Davaro), an artist from Barcelona.
As a child, he had two distinctive qualities: painting and losing track of time in the mountains.
In my teens I met the painter Tokio Ujike, who inspired me to get started in painting and art.
As a painting artist, I have exhibited my work in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Paris or Dubai; both in art fairs and in private and public exhibitions.
Please accept these words as an invitation to my work.
My work focuses on the human figure as a mirror of introspection and personal transformation. Through the face and body, I explore identity, inner conflicts, and how the self confronts itself in the contemporary world.
My visual language engages with the tradition of the classical human figure —from ancient Greece to the Renaissance— reinterpreted from a contemporary and personal perspective.
