About this artwork
A young woman takes the liberty of cutting her hair in the colors of her country Iran. It is named after Mahsa Jina Amini, an Iranian woman who died in 2022 under the influence of a power that colonizes women's bodies to establish moral and political authority.
This work is part of my series "The Colonization of Bodies", where how political powers subordinate bodies to establish territorial and psychological supremacy.

David Affagard, fascinated by Schiele and Freud, explores the human figure through live drawing, acrylic and charcoal on wood. Combining classical and modern techniques, he models perspective and composition to express total humanity. His striking work strips the body naked, depicting our last line of defense in an all-consuming world, a formidable ode to our unwavering integrity.
