About this artwork
In creating this piece, I aimed to capture the pulsating energy of Traffic as it moves through and arrives in the City, moving and gyrating in the city's rhythm. The bold strokes and vivid contrasts draw viewers into the bustling streetscape, highlighting moments of clarity amidst a flurry of activity. This…
painting isn't just a visual experience; it’s an invitation to feel the heart of the city.

David Antonides, a dynamic visual artist, has mastered the fields of painting, printmaking, and sculpting. Embracing the fluidity and unpredictability of watercolor on a monumental scale, he infuses Asian calligraphy's grace and de Kooning's verve into his urban landscapes. His artworks echo the eternal dance between the organic and inorganic, seeking harmony among the chaos of city life, a poignant reminder of our collective humanity, shadowed by a subliminal optimist undercurrent.
