Cape Ann is ripe with all kinds of inspiration for this artist. The light, the water, the rocks, the architecture, all combine to captivate me. This large painting was inspired during a walk taken in the summer. The drama occurs where the inside and the outside meet and the sunlight embraces both together. I later learned that the house had been owned by a literal rock star for quite some time! If only the walls could talk...
