About this artwork
This bronze sculpture channels raw vulnerability and strength in fragile form. I poured emotion into each textured curve and elongated figure, capturing a delicate balance between weight and lift. It brings an intense, contemplative energy into any space, inviting viewers to reflect on resilience and transformation. The freestanding design elevates it as a powerful, living presence that moves with your gaze and stirs the soul.
I made figures for… years and chose not to show them. They are a tad intense. I think the time is right to let them shine. Each body was born of ice. I went out into nature and hunted them, harvested them. On a good day, I would get them back to my studio without breaking, then I would mold them. The arms and legs were icycles hanging off of houses and roofs of nearby businesses. The heads I would make out of snow. When assembled and crafted they looked like no other figures I had ever seen, except maybe Bacon. Haunting and mystical. I am happy with them.
