A uniquely autumnal mist had descended on the boathouse almost enveloping it and shrouding the one lone figure. The quality of light as the sun caught the foreground branches lends that technicolour feel to this watery scene. Its a rare condition that gives you a feeling of total stillness and calm with just a hint that something might be about to happen.

David Dodsworth is a painter, draftsman, and printmaker based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Russia and the United States. The inspirations for his distinctive works originate from nature, architecture, and geometric composition. However, Dodsworth feels that his love of music and its resonance, are best expressed abstractly. He combines intaglio and woodcutting printing processes with digital manipulation.
