About this artwork
Memory is a time scale, subject to a programmed disappearance refused or not …
And yet she is made up of a set of memories, whether desired or not. They accumulate voluntarily or not, without it being possible to erase all or part of them.
David Lasry creates memories in concrete and acrylic which he submits to time, then patiently repairs them. So he cleans up and rewrites the past for a better future.
His works in the United States, as in Europe,… speak to the soul of viewers. They are certainly a necessary encounter with oneself.

« My art is intended for the viewers' souls. »
David Lasry is a painter, textile artist, and sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Belgium, the Netherlands, and England. He describes his art as pertaining to the consequences of memory and childhood. Stylistically, Lasry's compositions seek to escape all limits, often fusing painting with sculpture. He often creates with acrylics and cement on canvas.
