David Louis asserts that the painting should speak for itself. The Israeli painter, who has extensively exhibited on a national level, feels that the emotional elements which combine in even the simplest of paintings are too complex to record in any way other than through the work itself. Through his works, Louis wants to lull the viewer into a reverie. He has recently set aside his main medium of oils in favor of watercolors.
