About this artwork
This piece is the middle piece of a triptych. The entire art is a wave breaking and then settling down on the sand. In shooting the underlying image, I quickly saw that there are about thousand other people that do similar work. I knew that it was good but it didn't stick out in my mind as anything special. I started doodling on top of it and the next thing I knew I had swirls and swatches that re[resented various stages of the life of a wave. This…
