About this artwork
Portrait of Max, a local in Lithgow. I used to watch Max whenever I saw him walking up town. I knew that I would use him a subject for drawing one day. Then while walking through Lithgow Plaza one day I saw him. Usual nervousness but I still approached him and asked if he would be the subject of one of my portraits. Max's reply was short but not unexpected. "If it will keep you off the streets then okay!" The rest is history.

« Faces and figures have always been my passion, exploring form, light, shade, and pattern, bound with the texture of paint, canvas and their aromas, coupled with the human form is delightful. »
