About this artwork
A very detailed Cloud One, backlit, sits serenely in a dark field of colour as a soft shaft of light seems to fall below. Pinks and purples glow and bloom as the light penetrates the cloud here and there. Portrait aspect, 1140x1580, acrylic paint on canvas mounted to a solid framed stretcher.
This lovely painting brings with it colour and drama. It easily pulls the eye in, the detail satisfies and it's size and enigmatic presence lends a certain… gravitas to the room.
1140 x 1580 mm, acrylic on canvas, ready to hang.

Credentials
- Experienced Artist
- Works on commission
As an artist, David is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the modern world. His work reflects his passion for creating art that captures the look and feel of our contemporary world, using techniques and styles that are influenced by his experience in the film and television industry and background in computer graphics.
He originally honed his skills as a scenic artist, creating sets and backdrops for film and television and working with large-scale images in film studios. As technology changed, he then transitioned to creating realistic animated content commercially, specializing in environments and surface textures. Eventually he has returned to painting, which remains his most satisfying medium.
Working in both oil and acrylic, he aims to capture the richness and beauty of the modern world, using his knowledge of modern techniques and styles to lift the image and meet the expectations of the modern eye.
