About this artwork
I started my career making insect sculptures more than 22 years ago. Then my work evolved into abstract and monumental, and more recent works are a combination of abstract and figurative. The fact that they are somewhat smaller has to do with the fact that my studio is not that big these days. This work weighs 2000 grams. It is ordinary recycled iron, already rusted. If you put it outside it will rust more (watch out where you put it). Treatment…
of rust is possible with 1/3rd linseed oil and 2/3rd turpentine (every few years) on the statue. I can do this (if wanted) before sending. With thanks. David
