The new and the old generation confront each other. Something divides them and distances them. The new generation smokes, transgresses and dominates the scene, proud of its young age, oblivious to the old generation that watches it from afar, with the wisdom of life lived. The yellow tone and the blue tone used in the painting are complementary, and symbolize the complementary condition of the two generations.
