« "My tableaus explore the dissonance between old and new materials, intertwined in the most beautiful way possible, creating dreamlike and melancholic images." »
DB Waterman is a painter and photographer who hails from the Netherlands, with work exhibited in the United States, Europe and New Zealand. Her creative goal is to “make something beautiful out of dilapidation” through the mediums of paint, photography and collage. She uses original photographs, acrylics, oil, charcoal, ink and pencils in her works. Having always loved the appearance of peeling paint, weathered walls and old posters, she revives this aesthetic in her pieces.
