About this artwork
This work will be exhibited at The Other Art Fair in Sydney, September 2020. The painting depicts one side of a high rise building complex in New York. I was fascinated by the lines, shapes and extorted perspective created by my Canon Lens. I produced this work using masking techniques and hand brushing applications of acrylic paint.

Dean OCallaghan is an artist based in Australia whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Inspired by American Minimalism and Russian Suprematism, he continuously explores new manners of employing hard-edge minimalist techniques. Although abstract, OCallaghan's compositions are not concerned with mathematical or color theories. Instead, they are based on his experiences of reality. He creates using acrylics on canvas.
