« It's a battle between me and the paint and when I win you see it here... exposed. »
Dee Brown is a contemporary artist from the Netherlands who takes inspiration from great artists of the late twentieth century, whilst maintaining his own distinctive and individual style. With an extensive portfolio, Brown’s paintings are at times reformulations of famous artistic imagery, paying homage to the likes of Warhol and Indiana, whilst at other times they are abstract in nature. Combining earth tones and raw structures, Brown succeeds in giving his paintings an industrial, yet warm aspect.
