About this artwork
This work is actually the three-dimensional embodiment of my drawing. It's like seeing the drawing floating in space. It reminds me of a childhood game, when I would light a wooden and cork stick on fire, making movements in the air and creating designs. Since 1995, I've been studying this subject, but I believe I've achieved the desired technique and expression in this work. The entire work—the drawing—was crafted in natural aluminum wire, and the… figures in resin, for later acrylic painting, as you can see in the additional images. The title came to me while I was working on the work—Chip Promenade—the virtual tours of our current world, the free-floating journeys in space. Just imagine how many virtual paths there are to travel through space in today's world.
« Art is an expression of the feeling of an era, so I think my work reads my time. »
