About this artwork
The color palette is composed of gold, light turquoise, white, and dark ocean blue, which blend together to create a mesmerizing effect.
The composition of the painting is both turbulent and peaceful, with large strokes of paint rollers and waves of light playing with waves of the ocean. The dynamic and detailed strokes of palette knives add depth and texture to the painting, making it a feast for the eyes.
At the center, the white and golden light… seems to radiate outwards, illuminating the entire piece.
It represents the spiritual awakening and transformation that one experiences when emerging from difficult times, like the dawn breaking after a stormy night at sea.
This artwork is a celebration of the power and beauty of nature, as well as the resilience and strength of the human spirit.
It is a reminder that even in the darkest of moments, there is always hope and the promise of a new beginning.
High quality canvas stretched on a 4,5 cm wide wooden frame.
« In the beginning, the mind is as blank as the canvas. Then the hands begin their dance, the heart chooses its colors, and the emotions their expression. »
Delphine Bernard is an artist based in France whose paintings have been widely exhibited in Singapore and Indonesia. She compares each of her compositions as being like a vision or a dream and characterizes her artistic process to being "shamanistic". Bernard creates intuitively, allowing her hands to "dance and play" with colors on the canvas. Her vibrant compositions are created using acrylics on canvas.
