About this artwork
A serene and luminous composition that captures the quiet energy of dawn, "The Rise of the Day » is dominated by soft, blended shades of blue and green, evoking the cool tranquility of early morning light. Gentle strokes of white and pale yellow break through, like the first rays of sunlight piercing the misty sky.
Delicate organic shapes, reminiscent of blooming flowers or rising foliage, emerge from the layered background, adorned with highlights… of turquoise, lime green, and white, suggesting vitality and renewal while small dots of bright yellow and white are like dew drops or the subtle awakening of life at daybreak.
The fluidity of the composition and the harmonious palette convey a sense of hope and the promise of a fresh start.
"The Rise of the Day" invites viewers to pause, breathe, and embrace the quiet beauty of nature’s awakening.
Painted on quality acid free paper made especially for painters, framed and ready to hang. (see video)
« In the beginning, the mind is as blank as the canvas. Then the hands begin their dance, the heart chooses its colors, and the emotions their expression. »
Delphine Bernard is an artist based in France whose paintings have been widely exhibited in Singapore and Indonesia. She compares each of her compositions as being like a vision or a dream and characterizes her artistic process to being "shamanistic". Bernard creates intuitively, allowing her hands to "dance and play" with colors on the canvas. Her vibrant compositions are created using acrylics on canvas.
