About this artwork
This abstract expressionist painting is a stunning portrayal of the themes of solitude and self-discovery.
Bold and vibrant colors like blue, light turquoise, yellow, and red are combined with foam rollers and delicate, light strokes of palette knives to create a sense of energy and movement in the composition.
The smooth movement of the lines suggests an oceanic feeling, waves, a shore maybe as a refuge, a place, far away, in between sea and sky,… to search for oneself.
The painting ìnvites the viewer to explore the complexities of the relationship of the human being, as an individual, confronted to the extraordinary character of nature.
This is a painting on quality acid free paper made especially for painters.
It is sold stretched on high quality cardboard and framed by a 2 cm deep white wooden frame. Ready to hang!

« In the beginning, the mind is as blank as the canvas. Then the hands begin their dance, the heart chooses its colors, and the emotions their expression. »
Delphine Bernard is an artist based in France whose paintings have been widely exhibited in Singapore and Indonesia. She compares each of her compositions as being like a vision or a dream and characterizes her artistic process to being "shamanistic". Bernard creates intuitively, allowing her hands to "dance and play" with colors on the canvas. Her vibrant compositions are created using acrylics on canvas.
