This solid oak sculpture (9 x 9 cm) takes the form of a cube with sharp edges, each face enlivened by an organic network of serpentine forms. The nematoids, drawn in black relief and highlighted with pink, unfold like twisted silhouettes, evoking stylized human figures.
Their ascending and sinuous movement suggests an inner tension, a collective clamor frozen in the wood. These "plains people" seem to shout their anger, their voices intertwined… in a noble and warm material.
The contrast between the geometric rigor of the cube and the almost visceral expressiveness of the lines creates a powerful dialogue between structure and emotion, control and excess.
