We invite you to explore 'pareidolia', a sculpture that subtly and provocatively questions the dark dimensions of male identity. This work reveals two perspectives: from the side, a male bust appears clearly while when looking from the front, a phallic form is revealed.
This duality is not a simple optical illusion; it raises crucial questions about the relationships between power, sexuality and violence. Through this work, we are confronted with… a disturbing reality: behind the image of man often hides a latent violence. 'paréidolia' becomes a mirror of society, inviting us to reflect on how masculinity is often associated with destructive behaviors.
By exposing this duality, 'paréidolia' encourages reflection on individual and collective responsibility.

Delphine Dessein is a painter and sculptor based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Belgium.
