很久以前香港是一個小漁村，泊滿很多漁船，房屋很少，經過很多年的發展，建築了很多房屋，住在船的漁民都搬上岸上生活，今時今日，仍有漁船出海，仍有漁船作住家用途，有小艇穿梭鴨脷洲與香港仔兩岸，有些小艇作遊覽觀光用途，形成今天的香港仔有屋有船的美景畫面。
