About this artwork
A very original work on paper with acrylic ink, very watercolor, in a modern and contemporary style with its neon pop art colors. It is a drawing or even a digital, geometric type calligraphy, which of course evokes nature.
Impressionist artists, Monet and later Van Gogh would paint on the motif, here it involves 3D scanning of real plants and flowers. The polygonal mesh of its 3D models is preserved to make the digital structure visible. Using… 3D software, these entities, which have become digital, are broken by an algorithm.
The wire drawing of the mesh obtained is then transferred to paper using a robot, a Pen Plotter. Finally these drawings are reworked directly by hand. It is therefore a real/virtual/real cycle which mixes simulation, robotics and reality.
Accidents due to the medium of ink mingle with the coldness of the robotic outline and the algorithmic complexity bringing softness, lightness and humanity.
