About this artwork
The sculpture invites the viewer to solve the riddle of the sphinx. Instead of a strict motionless Egyptian figure, we see a winged creature with the face of a little girl, moving forward towards an invisible goal. Childhood as a symbol of the beginning and the sphinx as a symbol of eternity appear in a single image, suggesting where to look for the answer. The answer is in the essence of humanity, in the source of eternal conflict.
