About this artwork

I sculpted this piece out of marble to evoke strength and delicate beauty intertwined. Its flowing curves and bold form represent a balance between resilience and grace. This artwork brings a powerful yet serene energy to any space, inviting contemplation and admiration for the fusion of nature’s elegance and human creativity.
This piece is my interpretation of a water caltrops that grows underwater and is grounded by a stem from beneath to the bottom… of the body of water and another stem grows from the top center and develops floating leaves on the surface of the body of water. This plant has many names; it is named Trapa Bicornis. This plant is also known as horned nut, devil’s nut, bat nut, etc..
