About this artwork
In my work "The Joy of Anticipation," I explore the moment of tense anticipation and examine the aesthetic quality of imagination leading up to the event. I'm not interested in anticipation as a passive state of waiting, but rather as an active, creative state in which the future takes shape before it becomes visible or tangible. The composition is deliberately non-narrative. I'm interested in the visual articulation of the joy of what is about to…

I work with acrylic in translucent and opaque layers to create pictorial surfaces differentiated in color and space. I use painterly techniques—layering, contrast, linear interventions—specifically to reveal the dynamics of a mental anticipation.
