About this artwork
My five-year-old daughter's swimsuit served as inspiration for this work. The bright, cheerful colors gave me a carefree, light feeling that made me think of a sunny day on vacation at the beach. The colors of the swimsuit have now faded and it no longer fits. This picture is completely different. The luminosity of the colors creates a good mood and brings summer into the room.
Dennis Bätz, an artist specializing in acrylic pouring, only later followed his childhood calling to art. Through meticulous planning, he produces abstract works, magnificent in color, contrast, and composition. His art invites individual interpretation and brings a universe of ideas to life.
"It feels as if I am looking through a new pair of eyes and the world is revealing itself to me in a new light."
With these words, Dennis Bätz described his artistic career at his first solo exhibition in 2022, from monochrome, graphic works that shaped his work for decades, to colorful abstraction.
Consequently, the opening and subsequent exhibition were named "Color Frenzy".
Years of experimentation and refinement of technique followed, on the one hand, and on the other, the perpetual struggle for artistic expression, the soul of the work.
