Shards is part of the Idea of a Woman series. The figure does not appear once — she appears four times, in four states that refuse to connect. Each section holds its own logic: a body bent over, a figure from behind, fragments of posture and gesture that never add up to a single image. The composition does not break down. It insists on staying broken.
