About this artwork
This painting was created using oil paints and a palette knife. The strength and gentleness of emotions intertwine, like a restless yet peaceful inner sea. Deep blues evoke the depths of the soul, while touches of white bring light and serenity. Thin layers of paint, applied rapidly with the palette knife, encourage a sense of elevation and reveal a dazzling dynamism in the creative gesture; they are the expression of a contained strength and a skillfully…
controlled balance. This abstract work invites an introspective journey, bringing a vibrant and calming energy to your space.

« To arouse emotions, to try to glimpse the invisible, and to approach the shores of the infinite. »
Through abstract oil paintings, Denys Eustace explores a quest for meaning where philosophy and painting intertwine. His works, nourished by Taoist and Greco-Roman thought, question emptiness, infinity, and impermanence. He is not inspired by the canvases of the masters, but by their writings and research: his in-depth study of Kandinsky's Concerning the Spiritual in Art, for example, the questions posed by Klee and Mondrian, as well as the voices of Lao Tzu, Heraclitus, Pascal, and Shitao, guide his approach.
A self-taught painter, he complemented his training with art history courses at the École du Louvre and by giving lectures. His work has been featured in around one hundred exhibitions, both in France and abroad. He lives and works between Paris and Normandy.
