There is something suspended in this painting… Perhaps between sand and light.
No attachments on the edges of the canvas. A frozen moment of a "personal legend", of a life path, of the journey of a soul in search of Truth, which tries to rise, each day a little more.
This oil on canvas, composed of Naples yellow, Payne's grey and a few rare touches of blue, among other things, was selected by the Société des Artistes Français to be exhibited under… the dome of the Grand Palais in Paris during the annual Art Capital event in February 2026.
Strength and lightness, this masterful work is a magnificent support for the elevation of the spirit.

Through abstract oil paintings, Denys Eustace explores a quest for meaning where philosophy and painting intertwine. His works, nourished by Taoist and Greco-Roman thought, question emptiness, infinity, and impermanence. He is not inspired by the canvases of the masters, but by their writings and research: his in-depth study of Kandinsky's Concerning the Spiritual in Art, for example, the questions posed by Klee and Mondrian, as well as the voices of Lao Tzu, Heraclitus, Pascal, and Shitao, guide his approach.
A self-taught painter, he complemented his training with art history courses at the École du Louvre and by giving lectures. His work has been featured in around one hundred exhibitions, both in France and abroad. He lives and works between Paris and Normandy.
