About this artwork
From a series of work looking at microscopic images and natural formations.
Drawn to the sculptural forms of cells, representing these details on segments of hand-made Japanese paper with floral patterns printed in silver. Bronze leaf surrounds the raised drawing inside the box frame to capture light and draw the eye to the metallic details in the work.
From different angles the work changes as light reflects off the various metallic surfaces… and areas.
