Didier Delgado was first inspired to create after seeing posters glued to the walls of his university’s administrative offices. This discovery broadened his sense of what could be done with painting. The French artist’s works often contain the recurring theme of music. In his recent series entitled ‘Soundtracks’, he uses the backs of record sleeves classified by different decades, musical styles, and countries. Delgado’s creative process has begun by painting the canvas, or paper, black since the 1990s.
