About this artwork
This work was born from a need to slow down and listen. The work takes shape from an initial, fragile gesture, which I try to accompany rather than control.
I work by adding and subtracting layers, allowing the material to react, flow, and transform.
I seek an unstable balance, a threshold where control and abandon coexist. Form is never definitive; what emerges on the surface is the trace of a silent dialogue and a lived experience.

Daniela Pontelli is an Italian artist with a background in ancient and modern painting techniques. She uses Bologna chalk and rabbit-skin glue, continually experimenting with landscapes, female faces, and abstract works. Her works are colorful, personal interpretations of light, while her female faces express both inner strength and fragility. The interplay of color and lyrical movement in her abstract works is crucial, allowing each brushstroke to reflect a moment in life and transport the viewer into their own inner landscape.
Pontelli's works are charged with emotion, communicating both joy and sadness, reflecting the ephemeral and sometimes painful beauty of life.
