Dimí

Italy

Trained as an architect, she lives and works near Milan. She has exhibited in the group shows "Essere donna" (2024) and "Abbiatearte" (2026), Castello Visconteo in Abbiategrasso (MI).
Two creative phases coexist in her: the slow one of observation, in the pencil and charcoal portraits that probe the human face in search of emotion; and the instinctive one of acrylic, where color no longer represents something, but becomes it.
She gives voice to moods, convinced that feelings and internal struggles cross history and geographical borders.
She believes in the empathetic power of images: the joy and serenity of the canvas spreads throughout the space it's displayed in; while those who recognize their own internal struggles in the portraits find solace and lightness in sharing.
If Rembrandt and Sorolla remain the masters of the psychological gaze and light, in Vivian Maier he finds an affinity of method: silent observation for a personal need even before it is for sharing.
