About this artwork
Circle I
Circle-world
World-circle
The circle is the most universal symbol. It describes our psyche in all its aspects, including the relationship between us and nature. Throughout all ages, from the Stone Age to technologically advanced societies, the circle always expresses the single and most important aspect of life – its integrity. In Zen Buddhism, the circle is enlightenment. It symbolizes human perfection. In Christianity, the circle represents… unity and eternity. We draw halos over the heads of the saints, knead round ritual breads and play people who describe a circle.
We are connected to the circle.
