In this oil painting, I've captured the ephemeral dance of light upon water, where the tangible meets the ethereal. The rich tones and subtle movement convey both a sense of tranquility and the profound depths of nature's beauty. I've melded realism with impressionistic touches to evoke the serene and the contemplative. Bringing this artwork into your space promises a gentle infusion of calm and a daily reminder of life's quiet splendors.

« Painting is a necessity for me. »
Dirk Eelen is an artist based in Belgium whose pieces have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and France. Creating in series, many of his works portray themes relating to nostagia and reflection. In addition, Eelen finds dark surfaces fascinating. He paints solely with oils on canvas, employing the "wet on wet" technique to give his compositions a "unique vagueness".
