About this artwork
The artwork was inspired by floor patterns in Florence, Italy. It depicts the beautiful marble floor tiles and patterns of the Florence Duomo, at the same time emphasising the depth of the cathedral, the reflections of distant lights and shadows. It is about the hushed murmur of voices in the church, the solemn atmosphere, the beauty of craftsmanship and the moment of calm.

« I intend for my art to be like a refuge, filled with balance and tranquility, where time slows down for the viewer. »
