Reflections
This encaustic painting explores the subtle nature of reflection — both as a visual phenomenon and as an inner process of contemplation. Three horizontal forms appear within a luminous white space, each echoing the others while retaining its own character. Framed by deep black, they seem to emerge, dissolve, and reappear, as thoughts do when we revisit our memories and experiences. The interplay of light and darkness suggests that reflection… is never simply a repetition of what was, but a process through which meaning shifts and new understanding takes shape. The painting invites a quiet moment of introspection, where what we see becomes inseparable from what we perceive within ourselves.

Created with encaustic on Ampersand Museum Series Encausticbord, a finely textured, absorbent, warp-resistant panel made from FSC-certified Hardbord and sealed with Archiva-Seal™.
