About this artwork
The focal point of this painting is at the bottom left hand side of the painting. Here there is what appears to be the visual representation of a kangaroo and beside it a blurred image of a smaller kangaroo. In the center lower portion of the painting is a bird representing the most common bird of Australia which is the Parakeet. The painter used a yellow orbit on top of the scene to illustrate the sun shining over the scene. There is a brown…
bird flying toward the sun which represents the brown falcon common in Australia. The rest of the painting is a consists of pinkish, white, and black hues flowing together to create a harmonious landscape reminiscent of Van Gogh’s fields. There are also patterns of abstract hills that are created by the uneven surface of the paint texture .
