About this artwork
“Deep Blue Breath” belongs to the blue phase of my Breath of Blooms series. A single flower unfolds in intense shades of blue on a 30 x 30 cm canvas – from luminous cyan to deep Prussian blue, complemented by iridescent, light accents.
In contrast to the magenta-red phase, this work appears calmer and more introspective. The flower form is created solely through breath and movement – without a brush, simply by the controlled blowing of the paint.…
At the center, yellow and pink pollen dots cluster, radiating like a luminous core from the cool color scheme. The black, woody stem and small, delicate leaves provide structure to the composition.
This work represents depth, melancholy and quiet strength – a blossom that does not work loudly, but through its presence.
