« These days, after forty years of studio work, I am just concerned with liberating gorgeous color from the cruel tyranny of confinement in the tube. »
Don Perley is an American artist whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States. He describes his artistic process as being inextricably linked to art theory in the creation of each piece, as he believes that art theory is fundamentally the theory of communication. Recurring themes that are present his abstract compositions include alchemy and mysticism. Perley's vibrant works are created using acrylics, oils, and collage on canvas, linen, or wood.
