"HDie Discovery" is one of the works from the Hidden Future series - the hidden future.
A reflection on time and its hidden future. How can you capture the time in a picture? How can an artist vividly represent such an abstract concept?
As soon as the past is stirred up, it is present again and thus becomes the present. Then aren't the hidden, forgotten sections of the past just hidden parts of the future? And will they also be part of the future… if you never come out again?
Doris Duschelbauer deals with these questions and tries to depict the relativity of time perception with visual metaphors.
The many layers that the artist applied symbolize periods of time for her. With the grinding and processing of these, lower layers are partially exposed again or are covered again. A journey through time and immediately a game between the hidden and the new.
