The painting tells the story of the Mediterranean, from the past to the present. About shipping and sea trade in neighboring countries, about the human suffering of refugees in lifeboats and also about happy moments. One discovers the fauna and its threat, the pollution of the sea, but also the possible salvation. The picture reflects the immense diversity and beauty of the Mediterranean region.
