About this artwork
White is the dominant color in this image. It is the last layer of paint that gives this picture its soft tone, enveloping everything in silence, almost like snow or fog. At first glance, it looks almost monochrome. It could be a landscape, but it could also be a view of the sea. The lower layers of paint, which were revealed by sanding, show colorful traces and structures ranging from light light blue to gray and pink.
