Tokyo
A dense curtain of vertically flowing neon colors evokes the luminous street canyons of a metropolis at night. Yellow, red, pink, green, and blue drip and stretch across the bright surface in vibrant lines – like reflected lights on wet asphalt or neon signs blurred in the rain.
The predominantly vertical movement creates a feeling of skyscrapers, of speed, of a ceaseless flow. Between the lines, small explosions of color emerge – like… traffic lights, billboards, or trains passing by in time-lapse.
Despite the apparent randomness, the network appears rhythmic, almost musical – like the constant pulse of a city that never stands still.
Tokyo is not depicted realistically here, but rather as a state of energy: loud, bright, vibrant.
